Vic loved to experiment with styles
and techniques. For the cover of
a paperback mystery, he used two identical photographs of himself on
a telephone. After slicing each print
in uneven strips, he alternated and offset the pieces of one with the other, creating a far scarier whole

than the sum of its parts.
